Will Jarvis

Toronto born Will Jarvis is a busy freelance bassist and educator who has been performing professionally since 1980. Will is a B.Mus. graduate of the Humber College/TRU Music Program and holds a Master of Arts degree in Composition from York University in Toronto. Will has gained a reputation as a very versatile player and is equally comfortable playing jazz, rhythm and blues, funk, jazz-fusion as well as Brazilian and Cuban Music. Will has had the pleasure of performing live with Tito Puente, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Paquito D�Rivera, Steve Gadd, Hilton Ruiz, Hilario Duran, Luis Conte and Dave Valentin. Will has also worked with many Toronto area artists including David Clayton-Thomas, Vernon Dorge, Bruce Cassidy�s Hotfoot Orchestra, Amy Sky, The Code, Soul Stew, Pretzel Logic, Jackie Richardson, Carlos Del Junco, Louise Pitre and Colm Wilkinson. Music theatre credits include Peter Pan, Blood Brothers, 9 To 5 and the Toronto production of Jersey Boys. Along with performing with The Swellheads, Will also plays regularly with Trevor Dick's 5th String Blvd.

As an educator, Will has been teaching at the college and university level for more than twenty years and is currently on the music faculty at both Humber College and Mohawk College with previous teaching positions at York University and McMaster University.
